Welcome to VentureBlog. Our goal with this blog is to discuss the things we think about on a daily basis as early stage venture investors in Silicon Valley. Although the financing markets have never been worse, we believe the opportunities for early stage companies continue to be excellent. Here we'll discuss why.

As this site develops, we'll add info about ourselves. But the contributors to VentureBlog are VCs at August Capital. As we say on our website, August Capital is a leading venture capital firm actively investing in entrepreneurial teams throughout the information technology market spectrum.

We'll stay away from promoting our investments, although they're bound to make their way into the occasional article. We'll keep it to minimum in this venue, if you're interested in more information check out our website news section.

Mostly, we'll figure it out as we go along. No idea if this is a sustainable idea or not, but we're going to give it a go. Enjoy!
