Cash Is King
In a recent back and forth with fellow board members about a compensation issue, one of the board members wrote:
We are back to Al Shugart's 3 Rules of Entrepreneurship: each rule reads "cash is more important than your mother."
I couldn't agree more. There is no greater commodity for startups in this economy than cash. And there is no better-received trait by venture investors than frugality.
